Abstract
“After the crash: a critique of capitalism and neoliberalism” gives insight into a world yet to come as we listen in on the sharp, intelligent and critical speech given by Maya, an inhabitant in a world destroyed by its Capitalist past. Maya unravels the many knots in our uncertain, unethical, neo liberal existence that we discuss today with simplicity in her calm and cohesive reflection. Discussing theoretical ideas behind consumerism, identity and climate change the innocence of Maya’s post- apocalyptic socialist existence is encapsulating and inspiring. This piece intentionally invokes the readers own critical self-reflection and how they perceive the world they live in at present.
